THE CITY OF LUCKNOW RUNS TOGETHER TO CELEBRATE FITNESS, COMMUNITY SPIRIT, AND HEALTHY LIVING IN THE HALF MARATHON ORGANISED BY ‘THE CENTRUM’
Lucknow: The pride of Lucknow and one of the city’s most awaited fitness events, the Lucknow Run 2025, was successfully organized on Sunday at GD Goenka Public School, located in the lush Sushant Golf City. The event was hosted by The Centrum, Lucknow, bringing together thousands of runners to celebrate health, unity, and community spirit.
The Lucknow Run featured four categories — 21 km, 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km — drawing participants from across India and abroad. The 21 km half marathon and 10 km race began at 5:45 am, followed by the fun runs at 7:00 am. The 21 km and 10 km runs were flagged off by MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, Dr. B.R. Hariharan, and event organizer Sarvesh Goel. The 3 km and 5 km categories were flagged off by senior officials including IAS Anil Kumar, IAS Ritu Suhaas, IPS Naveen Arora, RBI Regional Director Pankaj Kumar, MLC Avnish Kumar Singh, IAS Alok Kumar, IAS Anuj Jha, IPS Santosh Mishra, and CISF Deputy Commandant Abhishek Ingle.

Over 3,000 participants, including 1,000+ students from schools across Uttar Pradesh, took part in the event. The run also saw enthusiastic participation from the Indian Army, corporates, Reserve Bank of India, and numerous running clubs and organizations. Several academicians, school principals, and distinguished citizens joined the run, motivating participants throughout.
This year, the marathon attracted international runners from Luxembourg, Ecuador, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, and Jamaica, adding to its global appeal.

The winners of Lucknow Run 2025 were as follows:
- 21 km Male: Sundar Singh (01:10:19), followed by Sunil and Surya
- 21 km Female: Aliette (01:53:15), followed by Premlata Gupta and Priyanka
- 10 km Male: Krishn Singh Gurjar (00:38:37), followed by Sanjay and Sandeep
- 10 km Female: Diana (00:54:02), followed by Dr. Rekha Singh and Ketaki

Winners received trophies from Sarvesh Goel, Managing Partner of The Centrum and Chairman of GD Goenka Public School, while all participants were awarded medals and certificates.
Set against the serene greenery of Sushant Golf City, the run offered a refreshing November morning experience — a true celebration of fitness, friendship, and the spirit of Lucknow.
