Lucknow: The Thakurganj police scored a major enforcement success after a video went viral showing a man—popularly known as “Joker Chai Wala” in the Hussainabad outpost area—driving a car fitted with an illegal red-blue beacon and flaunting a police P-cap, creating an impression of authority.
The moment the video surfaced online, the Hussainabad Police Outpost swung into action. Sub-Inspector Dilip Kumar Chaubey, in charge of the Hussainabad outpost, immediately took cognizance of the matter and launched a prompt operation.
During the action, the police:
- Seized the car used in the video,
- Confiscated the red-blue beacon light,
- Seized the police P-cap,
- And arrested the accused involved in the act.
The swift response by the Thakurganj Police has been widely appreciated, as it not only curbed the misuse of police symbols but also sent a strong message against attempts to create false authority or mislead the public.
Officials affirmed that such misuse of official symbols will not be tolerated and strict action will continue against offenders.
