Hyderabad: 21-year-old Opal Suchata Chuangshri from Thailand has been crowned Miss World 2025, bringing home her country’s first-ever Miss World crown. The grand finale of the prestigious international beauty pageant was held late on May 31 at the HITEX Convention Centre in Hyderabad.
Opal outshone other finalists including Haset Dereje from Ethiopia, Maja Klajda from Poland, and Aurelie Joachim from Martinique to secure the coveted title.

For the finale, Opal wore a striking white embellished gown, symbolizing healing and courage. Born on September 20, 2003, in Thailand, Opal is a professional model and beauty pageant titleholder. She previously held the title of Miss Universe Thailand 2024 and was the third runner-up at Miss Universe 2024, where she represented her nation on the global stage.
Coming from a family engaged in private business, Opal completed her early education at Kajonkietsuksa School and holds a degree in Politics and International Relations. She began her pageantry journey in 2021 by competing in Miss Rattanakosin, and despite not winning then, she continued to rise, placing strongly in national and international competitions.
