Lucknow: Techfest 5.0, the annual inter-collegiate technical festival of the Department of Computer Science, National Post Graduate College, Hazratganj, concluded successfully on Saturday, marking the end of three days filled with innovation, creativity, and enthusiastic student participation.
The final day of the techfest focused on the Code-a-thon presentations, where participants showcased their projects, developed during the intensive eight-hour coding challenge conducted on Day 2. Teams presented their solutions before the evaluation panel, highlighting problem-solving approaches, technical implementation, and practical applications.
Techfest 5.0 began on Day 1 with an energetic inauguration ceremony, guest lecture, and multiple technical competitions. A major highlight of the opening day was Expo-Renaissance, an innovation exhibition featuring hardware and software technical projects, where students presented groundbreaking ideas and futuristic solutions. Events such as Brand Blitz, Last Protocol, and the IT Quiz further added to the competitive spirit of the fest. Cash prizes were also awarded in these events to encourage participants, with the 1st prize being ₹5000 and the 2nd prize being ₹3000 respectively.
Day 2 witnessed intense technical engagement with the Code-a-thon, alongside creative and idea-based events like Pixel Perfect and Future Forge, allowing students to explore both technical excellence and creative expression. The campus remained vibrant throughout the day, reflecting strong inter-collegiate participation and a huge student turnout.
Adding a cultural touch to the concluding day, the audience was treated to a musical band performance by Swar Band, which created a lively and celebratory atmosphere and kept the energy high ahead of the finale.
The techfest concluded with the final prize distribution ceremony, where winners of various competitions were felicitated with cash prizes, acknowledging their talent, dedication, and innovation. The ceremony marked a proud moment for participants and organizers alike.
Techfest 5.0 was organized under the guidance of the Principal Prof. Devendra Kumar Singh and Head of Department Dr. Shalini Lamba including all the faculty members including Amit Kumar Srivastava, Shweta Sinha, Rinku Raheja, Mahesh Tiwari, and Gaurvi Shukla, with the objective of promoting practical learning, teamwork, and innovation among students. With participation from colleges across Lucknow and an overwhelming response from students, Techfest 5.0 emerged as a grand success and a memorable celebration of technology and creativity.
