Lucknow — TechFest 5.0, a forward-looking academic and technological initiative, is being organised by the Department of Computer Science, National P.G. College, a prestigious autonomous institution affiliated with the University of Lucknow. The three-day event is scheduled from February 12 to February 14, 2026, commencing daily at 10:00 a.m.
The festival aims to bring together technically inclined students from various reputed colleges, creating a vibrant platform for innovation, collaboration and the exchange of ideas. By nurturing innovative thinking among undergraduate students, TechFest 5.0 seeks to strengthen their collective expertise and technological aptitude, enabling them to aspire towards engineering-level competencies and future-ready skills.
The initiative is being held under the leadership and guidance of the Principal, Prof. Devendra Kumar Singh. The successful planning and execution of the event is being steered by the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Dr Shalini Lamba, along with a dedicated team of faculty members, including Amit Kumar Srivastava, Dr Shweta Sinha, Rinku Raheja, Mahesh Tiwari and Dr Gauravi Shukla, whose collaborative efforts have been instrumental in shaping the festival.
TechFest 5.0 features an exciting array of sub-events designed to inspire, challenge and engage participants. Events scheduled for February 12 include:

Expo Renaissance: An exhibition platform where students will showcase innovative hardware and software projects to a wider audience.

The Last Protocol: A high-energy, tech-themed debate competition in which participants defend assigned technical roles and viewpoints.

Brand Blitz: A creative contest that challenges participants to design original logos from scratch, expressing brand identity through visual creativity.

IT Quiz: A knowledge-based competition testing participants’ understanding of computer science and information technology.

Events scheduled for February 13 include:

Code-a-Thon: An intensive eight-hour coding marathon where participants develop innovative technical solutions based on given problem statements.

Future Forge: A handcrafted art competition focused on creating original characters inspired by a predefined theme.

Pixel Perfect: A one-hour creative challenge that allows participants to demonstrate their graphic design skills by creating visually appealing thumbnails.
Attractive cash prizes and technical rewards will be awarded to winners. All competitions will be evaluated by eminent experts and distinguished judges from relevant fields, ensuring fairness and professional assessment.
TechFest 5.0 will witness participation from several reputed institutions, including LPCPS, AKTU, Modern Girls’ College, the University of Lucknow, Amity University, and BBD, among others. The primary objective of the festival is to illuminate the path of innovation and technology through student-led initiatives and to inspire the next generation of technological leaders.
