Mumbai | Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta posted a heart-wrenching video late at night on her social media account, revealing shocking details about her personal life. In the video, the visibly emotional actress broke down in tears, alleging that she is being harassed inside her own home. She claimed that she has been subjected to continuous mental harassment by people around her, leading her to finally call the police for help.
Following her distress call, a team from the Oshiwara Police Station arrived at her residence in Samarth Aangan early the next morning. The police reportedly stayed at the building for nearly 40 minutes and interacted with Tanushree to understand the situation. However, they did not share many details with the media, only confirming that “everything is fine.” Sources indicate that Tanushree has been asked to visit the police station to record her official statement.
In the video, Tanushree shared that her health has deteriorated over the last four to five years due to ongoing mental pressure. She said she was finally driven to take legal action and call the police because the situation had become unbearable. The actress alleged that she is unable to focus on her professional commitments due to constant mental harassment and fear at home.
She further explained that she manages all household tasks on her own, as she cannot afford to keep domestic help. According to her, someone had previously planted a worker in her home to keep tabs on her. “People come and stand outside my door,” she said, without clarifying who they are or what their motives might be.
Tanushree’s emotional video quickly went viral across social media platforms, triggering a mixed wave of support and trolling. While some users expressed concern, others accused her of seeking attention. One Instagram user commented, “I’m a big fan of Tanushree ma’am, but this time it seems like she just wants to be in the limelight. I might be wrong, but that’s how it feels after watching the video.”

Responding sharply, Tanushree wrote back, “Really? Check your profile. You just created this Instagram account today.”
Another user posted a harsh comment saying, “Stop the drama, madam. People have figured out your reality. We’re tired of your third-class acting. If you don’t feel safe in Mumbai, go back to the USA. Why risk your life here? Nana Patekar is a good person and one of Bollywood’s finest actors. Stop trying to defame him.”
Tanushree, who had previously sparked a major wave in India’s #MeToo movement by accusing veteran actor Nana Patekar of misconduct, has once again found herself at the centre of controversy and public scrutiny. As of now, she has not named anyone specific in her current allegations.
While the truth remains to unfold, the emotional outburst of the actress has once again spotlighted the mental health toll and personal struggles many public figures face behind closed doors. Police investigations are expected to proceed once Tanushree records her official statement.
