Bareilly: In a groundbreaking achievement, Dr. Rohit Kumar and his team at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) have successfully conducted India’s first indigenous hip replacement surgery for dogs. Until now, artificial hips had to be imported at costs exceeding ₹5 lakh. This new cemented implant has been specially designed for Indian breeds, using entirely local technology.
