Lucknow – The Yogi Adityanath government is set to launch a statewide health initiative titled “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” from September 17 to October 2. The campaign aims to strengthen the health of women, daughters, and their families, thereby ensuring a stronger society.
Under the Chief Minister’s directions, health camps will be organized across the state to conduct comprehensive health check-ups, raise nutritional awareness, and distribute maternity benefits. The initiative will also facilitate the distribution of Ayushman Bharat and Maternal & Child Health Security cards.

Comprehensive Health Check-ups
Officials from the Health Department said that the campaign will include check-ups for blood pressure, diabetes, dental, eye, and ENT issues. Screening for cancer (oral, breast, and cervical), anemia, sickle cell disease, and maternal health will also be conducted. Pregnant women will receive focused care, while vaccination drives and telemedicine facilities will further extend healthcare access.
Focus on Healthy Lifestyle and Nutrition
The campaign emphasizes balanced diets, reducing obesity, and adopting healthy habits. Citizens will be encouraged to cut down sugar and oil consumption by 10%, promote the use of local and seasonal foods, and ensure iron intake for children and adolescent girls. Nutrition tracking, take-home ration distribution, and awareness on mental health will also form key components.

Community Participation Encouraged
To make the campaign a mass movement, citizens are being invited to actively participate through blood donation drives, volunteer registrations, and enrollment at Anganwadi centers. By linking communities directly, the government hopes to create long-lasting awareness about preventive healthcare.
The “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” campaign reflects the state government’s commitment to women’s welfare, preventive health, and inclusive growth, ensuring that empowered women lead to empowered families and a stronger Uttar Pradesh.
