Lucknow – In response to a call by Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Lucknow, a Swadeshi Sankalp Yatra was organised in the city’s main market, Hazratganj, under the Swadeshi Suraksha Swavalamban Abhiyan. The march aimed to protest against foreign companies and the 50% tariff imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, while encouraging the use of Indian-made products.
The yatra, held in collaboration with local traders’ associations, included demonstrations outside prominent foreign brand outlets, including Bata and an American burger chain.
Anupam Srivastava, Regional Convenor of Swadeshi Jagran Manch, called for a boycott of foreign goods, while Amit Singh, State Convenor, administered a pledge to participants to adopt indigenous brands for daily use. A list of domestic and foreign products was also distributed to raise public awareness.


The event saw participation from Neera Sinha, National President of Samarth Nari – Samarth Bharat, along with her team. Other notable attendees included Kuldeep Khare (City Convenor), Dr. Anoop Srivastava (Co-Convenor), Pradeep Gupta, Shivam Dubey, Ashish Sharma (North District Convenor), Anand Dixit (State Publicity Head), Sanjay Upadhyay (Deputy Publicity Head), Supriya (State Women’s Co-Coordinator), Soni Singh (Women’s Head), Punita Bhatnagar (Co-Coordinator, Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan), Vijay Gulati (State Senior Dimension Head), Kishan Singh, Pawan Singh, Dev Narayan Tiwari, Kulshreshtha, and Saxena.
The march concluded with a strong call for economic self-reliance and public commitment to supporting Indian products over foreign alternatives.
