Lucknow: The Mohanlalganj Police successfully apprehended a thief involved in the high-profile theft of a Pulsar motorcycle, thanks to timely intelligence from an informant and a swift police operation. The accused, Rakesh Dubey alias Kuldeep Dubey, was arrested near Atrauli Mor, along with the stolen vehicle.
The incident occurred on March 23, 2026, when the complainant, Abhinandan, had parked his black Pulsar motorcycle (UP32 PM 2716) with a red sticker near the Kali Veer Baba temple in Mohanlalganj. Upon discovering the theft, an FIR was promptly registered under FIR No. 113/26, Section 303(2) BNS at Mohanlalganj Police Station.
During interrogation, the accused admitted to stealing the motorcycle due to financial constraints and alcohol addiction. He revealed that he used a master key to start the motorcycle without breaking the lock and intended to sell it for personal expenses.
Rakesh Dubey, aged 31, residing in Keshav Park, Saraswatipuram, Raebareli Road, has a significant criminal history, including multiple FIRs under Sections 147, 323, 504, 506, 427, 384, 333, 351(3), and 352 IPC across PGI and Mohanlalganj police jurisdictions.

The police team responsible for the arrest included Sub-Inspectors Atul Singh, Parvez, and Head Constable Kishan Jaiswal, operating under the supervision of Police Commissioner Lucknow, Shri Amrendra Singh Sengar, and other senior officials. The accused has been sent to judicial custody after completing legal formalities.
This operation highlights the prompt and effective action of the Mohanlalganj Police, achieving results within 24 hours of the crime.
