Summer Camp Concludes at Makkusun Play School with Fun, Learning, and Lifelong Lessons

Lucknow – Summer vacations became a meaningful blend of fun and life skills for children at Makkusun Play School and Daycare, Krishna Nagar, as the school successfully concluded its annual Summer Camp on Monday. Held from May 19 to June 30, the camp saw enthusiastic participation from children aged 3 to 15 years, who engaged in a variety of activities designed to spark creativity, physical wellness, emotional awareness, and environmental consciousness.

The camp wasn’t just about enjoyment—it was also about shaping responsible, aware, and emotionally intelligent individuals. A major focus was on teaching children the difference between good touch and bad touch, an essential safety lesson delivered in an age-appropriate and compassionate manner.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Children were taken on an educational excursion to Science City in Aliganj, where they explored the Life Park, Amusement Zone, and were introduced to the wonders of nature and technology. They watched 3D and animated films, interacted with models of rare animals, and learned through engaging experiences outside the classroom.

School Principal Gauri Tandon said,

“We aim to make summer camps both thrilling and enriching. Children not only enjoyed mango parties and park visits but were also taught about the nutritional benefits of fruits and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.”

Environmental awareness was another key theme, with children being encouraged to plant trees with their families and take small steps toward preserving nature.

Mind, Body, and Creativity in Focus

Director Akhil Dhru Shukla shared that the camp focused on holistic development.

“Children already study throughout the year. In summer, we focus on creative and emotional growth. Through pool parties, sports sessions, yoga training, and mental development games, we helped them gain confidence, awareness, and life skills in a fun-filled manner.”

Workshops included craft training, healing sessions, competitions, and storytelling, aiming to enhance children’s creative thinking and emotional intelligence.

A Joyful Farewell

The camp concluded with a meeting session and farewell party on June 30. A certificate distribution ceremony was held, where parents appreciated the thoughtful planning and the variety of learning experiences their children received.

The event left children not only with joyful memories but also with lessons and values that will last a lifetime.
