Mumbai: Celebrated filmmaker Suman Ghosh has commenced shooting for his next feature film Familywala, marking his first-ever collaboration with Windows Productions as the acclaimed banner celebrates 25 landmark years in the film industry. The comedy-family drama is co-produced by Maya Leela Films and promises a heartwarming blend of humour and emotions rooted in everyday family life.
Headlined by Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Familywala brings together an impressive ensemble cast including Swastika Mukherjee, Sudipta Chakraborty and Anushua Mazumder in pivotal roles. Notably, both Swastika Mukherjee and Sudipta Chakraborty are making their debut association with Windows Productions through this film.
Staying true to Windows’ legacy of emotionally rich and relatable storytelling, Familywala explores family dynamics with warmth and wit, aiming to strike a chord with audiences across generations. The film holds special significance for director Suman Ghosh, not only as his first collaboration with the banner but also as a creatively fulfilling association with a team he has long admired.

After many years, this is the first time I am working under another director’s vision for a film produced by Windows, and I am truly grateful to Suman da for this opportunity.
