Lucknow — In a moment of pride for Lucknow’s inclusive education initiative, Study Hall’s ‘Dosti’ program made a remarkable mark at the Special Olympics India – Uttar Pradesh State-Level Games held in Ghaziabad. Eleven specially-abled students from the ‘Dosti’ wing showcased their excellence across multiple sports and returned with a shining tally of medals and accolades.
In Table Tennis, Sahil Singh clinched the second position and Mrityunjay Kumar secured third in the male category. In the female group, Vani Jain bagged the first place in the 16–21 age group, while Shruti secured first in the 30+ category, underscoring the diversity and strength of Dosti’s athletes.
In the sport of Bocce, Sarthak Singh claimed third place in the 16–21 age group, Rishi Agarwal earned first, and Tejas Verma took second place in the 22–29 age group. Among the female athletes, Aashi Yadav won third place in the 16–21 category, and Shruti again impressed by winning first place in the 30+ category.
In Basketball, Sahil Singh and Sarthak Singh took first place in their respective male age categories. On the female side, Vani Jain and Aashi Yadav also bagged first positions, adding more gold to the Dosti camp.
The Football events saw a stunning performance by Mrityunjay Kumar and Harshit Yadav, who won first and second place in their respective ability groups, while Tejas Verma also earned first place. In the female group, Aastha Rai took the top spot.

In Futsal, Sambhav Singh emerged victorious with a first-place finish, while he continued his winning streak in Handball, claiming first place, followed by Rishi Agarwal (second) and Harshit Yadav (third) in the male category. Aastha Rai secured second place in the female handball competition.
The event was graced by Mrs. Mallika Nadda, Chairperson of Special Olympics Bharat, and Mr. Mukesh Shukla, Chairperson of Special Olympics Uttar Pradesh. They appreciated the dedication of the athletes and extended congratulations to the team from Study Hall ‘Dosti’, including their devoted coaches Mohammad Ejaz Akhtar and Indu Arora.
