Lucknow: Various competitions were organized on the second day of the three-day 67th Zonal Conference of the National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA) organized by the Faculty of Architecture and Planning of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.
In this, 14 teams of students participated in the Design Topia competition. These teams were given the task of redesigning the jail. Students have to design such a jail in which prisoners do not feel lonely or scared. Students redesigned the jail in six continuous hours on computer software.
Apart from this, in the Art Challenge, students made sketching on different topics. Many types of games were played in the Apex Arena. Also, experts shared their experiences in workshops on parametric, lime mortar, innovative material, good writing and marketing in architecture, product design etc.
While Maroof Culmen shared wisdom in the master class. In which he talked about videography and architecture. Panel discussions were also held. While the jury evaluated the D24 and Kahoots competition that lasted for 24 hours. The conference being organized under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Pandey and the leadership of Principal of FOAP Prof. Vandana Sehgal and Dr. Ritu Gulati was coordinated by Dr. Anjaneya Sharma.
More than 600 students from 25 colleges of 7 states Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim and Chhattisgarh have participated in this year’s zonal conference.
