Four Accused Arrested for Assaulting Women with Sticks; Video Went Viral
Lucknow: Thakurganj Police, operating under the directives of DCP West in Lucknow, have intensified security measures in their jurisdiction. Acting swiftly on a viral video showing women being assaulted with sticks, the police have arrested four accused individuals responsible for the brutal act.
The incident came to light after a disturbing video surfaced on social media, drawing widespread outrage. SHO of Thakurganj, Shrikant Rai, promptly took cognizance of the footage and initiated strict action against the culprits.
Upon receiving a formal complaint from the victim, a case was registered, and a dedicated police team led by Balaganj Outpost In-Charge Ravindra Kumar, under the leadership of SHO Shrikant Rai, successfully apprehended all four accused.
Police officials have reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order, ensuring swift justice in cases of violence, especially against women.
