Mumbai — Following the Supreme Court’s recent decision to remove stray dogs from the streets of Delhi and place them in shelters, actress Angela Krislinski has shared a deeply personal and emotional story that forever changed her perspective on stray animals.
Krislinski recalled a cold night in Delhi when she was walking home alone. “I was on a deserted road and realized someone was following me,” she said. “My heart was pounding. Then, a stray dog suddenly appeared and started walking beside me.”
What happened next seemed nothing short of a divine intervention. “The man who was following me suddenly slowed down and then turned away. The dog walked with me until I reached my gate, wagged his tail, and silently walked away,” she said with a voice full of gratitude. Krislinski, who cares for two dogs at home and also looks after strays in her area, said that this incident was a turning point in her life.

“It breaks my heart to think that dogs like him, who offer protection and love without asking for anything in return, can be removed from the streets,” she said. “Stray dogs are not a nuisance; they are a part of our community.”
For Krislinski, the issue goes beyond animals; it is about compassion, protection, and the unseen bond that exists between humans and stray dogs. Her poignant story reminds us that sometimes, the most unexpected protectors walk on four paws.
