Lucknow: Public health professionals of Saraswati dental College and Hospital play a vital role and providing community based tobacco cessation services, building capacity and creating relevant information regarding tobacco use and its ill effects.
Tobacco epidemic in India and south-east Asia region differs from other developed countries. Tobacco use in India is prevalent among 28.6% of tobacco users with higher prevalence among males (42.4%.) and 14.2% in female.
Community based programs include activities such as educating the public on health, hazards of environmental tobacco smoke that support prevention and succession of tobacco use.

Department of public health, dentistry of Saraswati Dental College and Hospital, Lucknow was actively involved in the month of May 2025 to meet with the theme of world No tobacco Day –“Unmasking the Appeal: exposing industry tactics on tobacco and nicotine products.” By reinforcing following activities.
