Lucknow / Chandigarh: A high-level meeting was held with Sanjeev Arora, Industry Minister, Government of Punjab, to discuss avenues for strengthening industrial growth, investment opportunities, and international trade collaborations in the state.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Punjab Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PCCI) along with Prashant Kumar, President of the Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce, based in Toronto, Canada. The delegation discussed potential collaboration between Indian and Canadian businesses, particularly in sectors such as manufacturing, technology, agriculture processing, and infrastructure.
During the meeting, R. K. Sharan emphasized the importance of building stronger trade bridges between India and Canada and highlighted the growing role of industry chambers in facilitating global partnerships. He noted that Punjab has significant potential to attract international investment due to its skilled workforce, strong industrial base, and progressive policies.
Minister Sanjeev Arora welcomed the initiative and expressed the Government of Punjab’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment for domestic as well as international investors. He encouraged stronger engagement between industry bodies and overseas chambers to enhance trade, technology exchange, and investment inflows.

Prashant Kumar shared insights on growing business opportunities between Canada and India and expressed interest in facilitating partnerships, joint ventures, and investment missions involving Canadian companies looking to expand into India.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen cooperation between industry stakeholders, explore trade delegations, and identify new investment opportunities that can contribute to economic growth and employment generation.
