Storytelling and Family Values Celebrated at Shia College’s ‘Kutumb Kahani’ Contest

Lucknow: Shia P.G. College, in collaboration with the South Unit of the Akhil Sahitya Parishad, successfully organized the Kutumb Kahani (Family Story) competition on its campus, emphasizing the cultural and emotional significance of family in Indian literature and society.

Professor Neetu Sharma, President of the South Unit, addressed the gathering by highlighting the importance of family and traditional values in shaping character and community. Principal Prof. S.S.R. Bakri elaborated on the pivotal role that the concept of family plays in Indian literature.

The event was graced by several eminent faculty members, including Prof. S.S.H. Aamil, Head of the Hindi Department at Shia P.G. College, Dr. Nagina Bano, Dr. Alok Yadav, Dr. Archana Singh, Dr. Babita Verma, Vice President Dr. Kumud Pandey, and Secretary Dr. Priya Singh.

The proceedings were smoothly conducted by Dr. Madhulika Chaudhary, while Dr. Poonam Singh, General Secretary of the organizing committee, delivered the vote of thanks.

Participants of the storytelling competition were felicitated with certificates and medals. Among the winners, Bhoomi Verma clinched the first prize, Samreen Khan secured the second, and Anamika Pandey took home the third prize. Kajal Mishra was honored with a consolation award for her creative effort.

The event proved to be an enriching literary occasion, blending storytelling with the timeless essence of familial bonds.
