Bareilly: The 24th Foundation Day of SRMS Medical College was marked by a series of significant healthcare and welfare announcements by SRMS Trust Founder and Chairman Dev Murti, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to compassionate and quality medical care.

One of the key announcements included waiving ICU and nursing charges for patients admitted for over 21 days. Additionally, both patients and their attendants will now receive nutritious meals for just ₹12, while 50 staff members will be provided meals for ₹10—requiring a prior online booking.

In a major move to address the growing threat of trauma-related casualties, Murti announced plans to establish a 250-bed ICU-equipped Trauma Unit at SRMS. The unit aims to extend emergency services through drone technology and provide ICU access at patients’ homes—a first in the region.

During the celebration, outstanding faculty, staff, and students were felicitated. Departments such as General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ENT, Respiratory, and Dermatology were awarded commendation letters. Special commendations were given to Critical Care, Radiation Oncology, Medical Education Unit, Emergency & Trauma Medicine, and the Quality Department.

A blood donation camp was also organized at the Blood Bank, where Richa Murti, Director of Good Life Hospital, and Dr. Yogesh Chetty, HOD of Trauma & Emergency Medicine, led 40 donors in the noble cause.

Chairman Dev Murti, reflecting on the college’s journey from an 11-bed ICU to an 80-bed facility, reiterated the vision of building a 250-bed ICU with a state-of-the-art trauma unit. “What began as a dream 25 years ago is now a thriving reality. Your support has brought us here,” he said.
