SRMS Engineering College Concludes Two-Day Sports Fest ‘Amod 2026’; CET Emerges Overall Champion

Bareilly: The two-day annual sports festival Amod 2026 concluded on a high note at SRMS College of Engineering and Technology, with SRMS CET clinching the overall championship title after an impressive medal haul.

SRMS CET secured 14 gold, 8 silver, and 3 bronze medals, taking its total tally to 25 medals and lifting the prestigious Amod 2026 trophy. The winners across various events were felicitated by Dev Murti, Founder and Chairman of SRMS Trust, along with Secretary Aditya Murti.

Grand Participation Across Disciplines

The festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of institutions run under the SRMS Trust, including CET, CETR, Medical, Paramedical, and Nursing colleges. Competitions were held in both boys’ and girls’ categories across a wide range of sports.

Events included badminton, football, basketball, chess, kho-kho, table tennis, volleyball, carrom, kabaddi, and athletics, covering a total of 17 disciplines. The football ground of CET served as the main venue for the event.

Strong Competition and Results

SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) also delivered a strong performance, securing 11 gold, 15 silver, and 3 bronze medals. The competition remained intense across events, reflecting high levels of sportsmanship and talent among participants.

However, the result of the girls’ long jump event remained undeclared at the time of conclusion.

Opening and Closing Ceremonies

The festival was inaugurated on March 19 by Richa Murti, Director of Good Life Hospital, setting the tone for two days of competitive sports and excitement.

The closing ceremony featured a grand prize distribution function attended by senior officials and faculty members, including:

Amod 2026 not only celebrated athletic excellence but also reinforced the importance of sports in holistic student development. The event concluded with a spirit of camaraderie and achievement, leaving participants motivated for future competitions.
