Lucknow: An orientation program was organized at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Tagore Marg. All the students of the first year of architecture participated in this orientation program. In which all the students were introduced to the nuances of various mediums of architecture and visual arts in different genres.

Bhupendra Kumar Asthana elaborated that in this series, an art workshop was organized. In which the workshop was conducted in three genres like painting on terracotta plates, cube art and minimal art. Girish Pandey, Dheeraj Yadav, Ratnapriya and Shubha Tripathi, as art teachers subject experts, gave information to the students in all three mediums and got about 90 artworks prepared by the students.

In the presence of art experts, the first year students of architecture created artworks in these three art mediums.

All the students were divided into three groups and were asked to work in one medium each. The students of the first group painted white on terracotta plates. The students of the second group painted with acrylic colours on square shapes made of wood. At some places, the paintings were also made using stencils. In the third group, the students created paintings based on the style of minimalistic art.

In this genre, maximum emotions are expressed using minimum colours, lines, shapes and objects. For minimal art, the students created works by pasting some natural elements like small twigs of trees, flowers, leaves, soil etc. on a 10×12 inch canvas. The students learned to give shape to the freedom of emotions with colourful lines on mediums like canvas, terracotta and wood.
