Special tree plantation to mark Kargil Vjay Diwas

Lucknow: On the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a massive tree plantation program was organized in the new campus of Lucknow University in collaboration with NCC Group Lucknow and Lucknow University, the theme of which was ‘One Cadet One Tree Initiative’.

The chief guest of this program was the successful Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University, Prof. Alok Kumar Rai. This program was organized under the leadership of Brigadier Neeraj Punetha, Commander of Lucknow NCC Group and efficient coordination of 64 UP Battalion NCC Lucknow University, in which Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University, Chief Proctor, Dean Academic, Executive Superintendent, Director of Second Campus, and other teachers participated.

Mainly about 250 cadets of 64 UP Battalion, 63 UP BN, 3 UP Naval, 5 UP Air and 20 Girls BN planted trees.

Commanding officers of various NCC battalions and all JCOs, NCOs were present in this massive tree plantation. Along with this, all the Associate NCC Officers of the University, Lieutenant Commander (Prof) DK ​​Singh, Major (Dr) Kiran Lata Dangwal, Dr Rajnish Kumar Yadav and the Director of Ground and Garden and his entire team were present. During the program, everyone paid tribute to the brave sons who were martyred in the Kargil war by planting trees and wished for a new initiative towards a healthy environment.
