Lucknow: Vivekanand Polyclinic and Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow has been running GNM Diploma Vivekanand Polyclinic School of Nursing since 1987. Subsequently, along with this diploma program, the institution started B.Sc. Nursing degree program under KGMU from 2005. Incidentally, Vivekanand College of Nursing is the first nursing college in Lucknow to start B.Sc. Nursing program. M.Sc. Nursing course is being conducted in four subjects (Medical Surgical, Gynecology & Obstetrics, Child Health and Community Health Nursing) from 2016, which has 4 seats in each subject.
From the session 2024-25, nursing candidates who have cleared the entrance exam at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow will be given a scholarship of Rs 3 lakh for the entire 2-year course, from which they can pay their course fee of Rs 72000 per year in full. Apart from this, Rs 6500 per month will be given from the remaining amount of the same scholarship to meet additional personal expenses.
