Gonda: In view of the upcoming Alvida Namaz, Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal conducted an inspection of security arrangements across key locations in Gonda on Friday to ensure the prayers are held peacefully and in a harmonious atmosphere.

During the visit, the SP toured several areas in the city, including major mosques, prayer sites and crowded public places, to assess preparedness and review the deployment of security personnel. He instructed officers and police staff on duty to remain alert and vigilant while performing their responsibilities.

Officials were also directed to maintain effective traffic management, parking arrangements, crowd control and law-and-order measures during the prayers. The SP emphasized that adequate police deployment should be ensured at all sensitive locations, along with continuous patrolling in the city.

Jaiswal further instructed officers to maintain strict surveillance on suspicious activities and respond promptly to any information received. Special monitoring of social media platforms has also been ordered to prevent the spread of rumors or misleading information that could disturb public order.

During the inspection, the SP also interacted with local residents, religious leaders and organizers, urging them to cooperate with the administration to ensure that the prayers are conducted peacefully.

The district police have made comprehensive security arrangements for the occasion and appealed to residents to maintain peace, communal harmony and mutual brotherhood. Citizens have also been urged to immediately inform the nearest police station if they notice any suspicious object or activity.
