Lucknow: Theatre enthusiasts in Lucknow will witness a powerful solo performance titled India After Bhagat Singh on March 27, 2026, at 7 pm at Sant Gadge Auditorium, located within the campus of Sangeet Natak Akademi. The play is designed, conceptualised and directed by theatre artist Shubham Tiwari and Shivendra Singh.
The production reflects on the changing socio-political landscape of India after the martyrdom of legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. Through a compelling solo narrative, the play attempts to revive Bhagat Singh’s revolutionary ideas and highlight their relevance in contemporary society.
Shubham Tiwari is also among the grantees of the Art for Hope 2024 initiative by Hyundai Motor Company, becoming one of the first theatre artists from the theatre fraternity to receive the recognition.

The play has previously been staged at venues including Triveni Kala Sangam and Jawahar Bhawan in New Delhi, as well as international cultural platforms.
