Lucknow: On 7 August 2025, as a significant stride towards enhancing practical knowledge and bridging the gap between academia and industry, School of Management Sciences (SMS), Lucknow has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yi Yuva, a youth wing of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The MoU signing ceremony was held in the presence of Samrat Marwah, Chair, Yi Yuva Lucknow, CA Sagar Tripathi, Chair, Yi Yuva Lucknow, Pranav Gupta, Co-Chair, Yi Yuva Lucknow, and Suvi Singh, Co-Chair, Yi Yuva Lucknow.
This collaboration is set to provide students with hands-on exposure through interactive sessions, skill development workshops, leadership training, and industry interaction. It aims to empower students with real-world insights, professional mentorship, and vital competencies for navigating today’s competitive job market.

The event continued with engaging guest lectures from distinguished speakers- Mr. Devanshu Gupta, a researcher who delivered a session on Cyber Security: outsmarting scams and phishing and highlighted the importance of cybersecurity awareness, safe internet practices, and ways to prevent cyber-attacks. He also informed students bout the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal developed by the Government of India and CA Sagar Tripathi, Chair, Yi Yuva, Lucknow, whoexplained Digital Detox and how to control the scroll before it controls you. He emphasized the importance of monitoring the screen time every day, he also encouraged students to minimize social media distractions and utilize their time on something that is beneficial for their future goals.

Sharad Singh, Secretary and CEO of SMS Lucknow, stated,“This MoU is a crucial step toward providing our students with industry insights and professional mentoring. It will help them acquire the skills needed to succeed in their careers and contribute meaningfully to the corporate world.”

The event saw participation from several senior officials, Dr. Ashish Bhatnagar (Director), Prof. (Dr.) Bharatraj Singh (Director General – Technical), Dr. Jagdish Singh (Director – Admissions & Administration), Dr. Dharmendra Singh (Associate Director), Dr. P.K. Singh (Dean – Student Welfare), Dr. Hemant Kumar Singh (Dean – Engineering) and other faculty members.
The program concluded on a reflective note, with a shared sense of gratitude and commitment to aligning academic excellence with holistic development.
