SMS Lucknow Celebrates World Entrepreneurship Day

Lucknow: On August 21, 2024, the School of Management Sciences (SMS), Lucknow, hosted a special event in honor of World Entrepreneurship Day. The celebration took place at  the Conference Hall of Saraswati Block.  Sharad Singh, Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, extended his best wishes to both students and faculty, encouraging them to leverage the SMS Incubation and Entrepreneur Foundation’s resources. His message was clear: aspiring entrepreneurs should aim to become job creators rather than seekers.

The event began with a warm welcome from Prof. (Dr.) B. R. Singh, Director General (Tech.), who highlighted the pivotal role of entrepreneurship in shaping students’ futures, societal progress, and national economic development. Following this, Prof. Om Prakash delivered a compelling lecture on “The Possibilities of Udyamita,” exploring how entrepreneurship can drive personal and professional growth, benefit society, and enhance the national economy. He shared insights into his own innovation, a patented auto ambulance prototype developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, illustrating how challenges can be transformed into opportunities.

The event concluded with Dr. Hemant Kumar Singh expressing gratitude to Prof. Om Prakash for his enlightening talk and appreciating all attendees for their participation. The gathering included HODs Dr. Amarjeet (Electrical Engineering) and Dr. Kamlesh Singh (Mechanical Engineering), Principal  Amod, along with  Alok, Dr. Rajeev Tripathi, Dr. Kailashpati,  Rohit Krishnani, Dr. Simab Hasan, and over 50 faculty members, staff, and students. This event underscored the importance of entrepreneurship in fostering innovation and driving economic growth.
