SMS Celebrates 11th International Yoga Day

Lucknow: School of Management Sciences (SMS), Lucknow, organized a collective yoga training camp  to celebrate the 11th International Yoga Day. The program was based on the theme “One Earth, One Health” and was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Raj Singh, Director General (Technical), SMS, Lucknow.

The yoga training camp included various yogasanas such as Surya Namaskar, Padmasana, Vajrasana, Siddhasana, Matsyasana, Vakrasana, Gomukhasana, Paschimottanasana, Ushtrasana, and Shavasana. Additionally, pranayamas like Kapalbhati, Anulom-Vilom, and Bhastrika were also demonstrated. The benefits of these asanas and pranayamas on health were explained in detail.

Sharad Singh, Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of SMS, said that the management committee of SMS, Lucknow, is committed to promoting science and yoga and will continue to organize such programs.

Over 30 teachers and 50 other staff members and students of the institution participated enthusiastically in the yoga camp. The participants included Dr. Hemant Kumar Singh, Dean-Academic; Shesh Narayan Shukla, Registrar; Department Heads Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Dr. Asha Kulshrestha, Dr. Kamlesh Singh, Dr. Arunesh Srivastava; Sunita Mishra, Sujata Sinha, Dr. Rajiv Mishra, Dr. Kailashpati; and other senior officials and employees.

Through this event, SMS, Lucknow, demonstrated its commitment to yoga and health and raised awareness among all participants about the importance and benefits of yoga.
