Skoda Auto Introduces the New Kushaq in India

New Delhi | Skoda Auto India has unveiled the new Skoda Kushaq, further strengthening its commitment to democratizing European technology for Indian roads. Designed to be #EasyToLove, the updated Kushaq redefines value, safety, comfort, and driving dynamics while reinforcing Skoda’s India 2.0 growth strategy.

The Kushaq, Skoda Auto India’s first product under the India 2.0 programme, has played a key role in accelerating the brand’s growth in the country. With several segment-first technologies, enhanced standard features, and a refreshed design, the new Kushaq aims to make European engineering more accessible and relevant to Indian customers.

Modern Solid Design and New Features

The new Kushaq showcases Skoda’s Modern Solid design philosophy, blending clean lines with a strong SUV character. For the first time, the Monte Carlo badge will be available from launch, responding to growing customer demand. Design updates include a new front grille with chrome ribs and an illuminated light band, new LED headlamps, front parking sensors, LED fog lamps, and connected LED tail-lamps with sequential turn indicators. An illuminated ‘Skoda’ lettering at the rear further enhances its visual appeal.

The SUV will be offered in three new colours – Shimla Green, Steel Grey, and Cherry Red, alongside existing options such as Candy White, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Lava Blue, and Deep Black. Alloy wheels are now standard across all variants, adding to its sporty and dynamic stance.

Powerful Engines and ‘Real Automatics’

Staying true to its reputation for strong performance, the new Kushaq offers a range of turbocharged engines with real automatic transmissions across variants. A major highlight is the segment-first eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission paired with the efficient 1.0 TSI engine, delivering 85 kW of power and 178 Nm of torque. This engine is also available with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Performance-focused customers can opt for the 1.5 TSI engine, producing 110 kW of power and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual or the proven seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. The 1.5 TSI variants also feature disc brakes on all wheels. With a ground clearance of 188 mm, the Kushaq continues to balance high-speed stability with everyday drivability on Indian roads.

Enhanced Comfort and Technology

Inside, the new Kushaq offers a more premium and comfortable experience. It now features a panoramic sunroof for the first time, along with dual-colour ambient lighting. Ventilated six-way electric front seats, a Skoda sound system with six speakers and a subwoofer, and a large 491-litre boot space (expandable to 1,405 litres) add to everyday convenience.

Several features are now standard from the base variant, including alloy wheels, electric sunroof, Climatronic automatic AC, rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper and defogger, auto-dimming IRVM, and LED headlamps and tail-lamps. Higher variants offer a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, while mid-variants feature an 8-inch digital display.

The SUV also comes with a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Built on advanced digital architecture, the next-generation infotainment system integrates a Google Automotive AI-powered voice assistant, enabling context-aware, hands-free control for music, calls, climate settings, and real-time information. The system is optimized to recognize Indian English accents, ensuring inclusive and seamless interaction.

Safety and Ownership Experience

Safety remains a core focus for Skoda. The new Kushaq continues to uphold its 5-star Global NCAP safety standards, offering over 25 active and passive safety features as standard, including six airbags. Higher variants offer up to 40 safety features. Standard equipment across all variants also includes rear wiper, rear defogger, rain-sensing wipers, and auto-dimming IRVM to ensure visibility and safety in all weather conditions.

To make ownership easier, Skoda Auto India is offering the new Kushaq with the Skoda Super Care package, which includes a best-in-class four-year or 100,000 km standard warranty, four years of roadside assistance, and four labour-free services for up to two years or 30,000 km. Customers can extend the warranty up to six years, along with corrosion and paint protection warranties.

Bookings and Deliveries

Pre-bookings for the new Skoda Kushaq have commenced on Skoda Auto India’s official website with a booking amount of ₹15,000. Deliveries are scheduled to begin by the end of March 2026.

With the new Kushaq, Skoda Auto India continues to strengthen its SUV portfolio alongside the Kodiaq and Kylak, offering customers a wide range of choices across key segments and price points, while setting new benchmarks in design, technology, and safety.
