Lucknow— In a heartfelt tribute to environmental sustainability and leadership, SKD Group of Education marked its annual Wisdom Week (July 7–12) with a large-scale green initiative themed “Plant Trees, Save Nature.” This year, the celebration held special significance as it also commemorated the birthday of the group’s visionary Director, Manish Singh, who dedicated the occasion to ecological preservation.
The campaign saw the planting of over 10,000 saplings across all SKD campuses, with active involvement from students, teachers, staff, and members of the local community. More than a symbolic gesture, the initiative represents the group’s deep-rooted belief in value-driven education and environmental responsibility.
In his message, Mr. Singh urged everyone to take personal responsibility for nature:
“Our ancestors gave us fresh air and clean water—what legacy are we leaving behind? Progress should not come at nature’s expense. Let’s grow, but sustainably.”
Interactive sessions on climate change, biodiversity, and sustainability helped educate young minds about the urgent need for ecological balance. Students took pledges to care for the saplings, reinforcing long-term commitment to green practices.

SKD’s initiative highlights how educational institutions can become powerful agents of change—blending academics with social and environmental values. The campaign not only enriched Wisdom Week but also sowed seeds of a greener, more conscious tomorrow.
This initiative stands as a beacon for other institutions to emulate—a true example of how education and environmental stewardship go hand in hand.
