Banda – A six-year-old girl is in critical condition after allegedly being raped by a neighbor in Banda district on Friday evening. The child was found bleeding profusely and with bite marks, and has been admitted to a medical college for treatment.
Horrific Incident Unfolds
The horrific incident occurred around 5 PM on Friday in a village within the Kalinjar police station area. The young girl was playing outside her home when a 20-year-old male neighbor reportedly lured her into his house and assaulted her. Her family discovered her in a severely injured state, covered in blood and bearing bite marks, and immediately alerted the police.
The accused, whose identity has not been released, fled the scene and remains at large.
Madhya Pradesh Border Village Affected

The incident took place in a village bordering Madhya Pradesh. According to reports, the 20-year-old suspect took the five-year-old from outside her home into a room in his house, where the assault occurred. The child’s distressed state and injuries upon returning home left her family in shock.
Police Investigation Underway
Following the family’s complaint, police were promptly notified. The child was initially taken to the Naraini Community Health Center for treatment, but due to severe blood loss, she was referred to Rani Durgavati Medical College.
Senior police officials have since visited the family and the medical facility. CO Naraini, Krishnakant Tripathi, visited the Community Health Center, while SP Palash Bansal personally went to Rani Durgavati Medical College to speak with the family. Kalinjar Station House Officer, Deependra Singh, confirmed that a complaint has been registered against the accused, and action is being taken. SP Bansal has assured the family that the suspect will be arrested soon.
