Lucknow: The festival of Holi was celebrated with immense devotion and joy by Shri Shyam devotees at the Khatu Shyam Temple near the Gomti river in New Hyderabad. The temple premises turned into a vibrant spectacle as devotees played Phoolon Ki Holi (Flower Holi) with 500 kg of flowers and 1,000 kg of herbal gulal.
The celebrations commenced at 9 AM and continued till 12 PM, with a large number of devotees participating in the festivities. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm, devotion, and spiritual fervor. Devotees offered flowers to Baba Shyam and played Holi inside the temple, while outside, the air was filled with the fragrance of devotional perfume, herbal colors, and color sprays. Women also actively participated, celebrating the festival with joy.
Devotees smeared each other with floral gulal, exchanging Holi greetings and spreading happiness. The Shri Shyam Parivar ensured that every visitor received traditional Holi treats, including Gujiya and Thandai as prasad.
Grand Decorations & Devotional Gatherings
The temple was beautifully decorated for the occasion. Shri Shyam Parivar’s General Secretary Rupesh Agarwal shared that this year, the Holi celebration saw an unprecedented scale of floral and herbal colors.
Treasurer Ashish Agarwal added that thousands of devotees gathered at the temple to celebrate Holi with Baba Shyam. The event saw active participation from prominent members, including Acting President Sanjeev Agarwal, General Secretary Rupesh Agarwal, Treasurer Ashish Agarwal, along with Atul Agarwal, Anil Gupta Hing, Anil Agarwal, Sudheesh Garg, Virendra Agarwal, Sudhir Garg, Avadhesh Agarwal, Ratnesh Goyal, Lokesh Agarwal, Vikas Agarwal, Vivek Mittal, Aditya Agarwal, Vijay Agarwal, Karishma, Bablu Singhania, and Pankaj Mishra.
The event was a perfect blend of spirituality, devotion, and traditional Holi festivities, leaving devotees with cherished memories.
