Lucknow— A horrifying incident unfolded late Monday night in the Gomtinagar police station area of Lucknow, where a younger brother brutally murdered his elder brother following a dispute over substance abuse.
According to reports, the accused, Sunny, slit the throat of his elder brother Babulal with a sharp weapon during a heated argument. The confrontation reportedly escalated after the two quarreled over drug use, culminating in the fatal attack. Babulal succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
The gruesome act led to chaos in the household, with family members screaming in shock and fear, prompting neighbours to rush to the scene. Police were immediately informed and arrived at the location shortly after the incident.
A forensic team was deployed to collect evidence from the crime scene, while Sunny was taken into custody and is currently being interrogated. Authorities have confirmed that further legal proceedings are underway.
