Shobhit Tandon Emerges Singles Champion in 35+ Category; Manish Mehrotra Clinches Double Title at S Masters Veteran Tennis Tournament

Lucknow: Shobhit Tandon claimed the men’s singles title in the 35+ category at the S Masters Veteran Tennis Tournament, defeating Abhishek Kumar Yadav 6–0 in a one-sided final.

The tournament, organised by the Sports Development Society (SDS) at the La Martiniere Lawn Tennis Facility and sponsored by Bajaj Capital, also witnessed impressive performances in the doubles events. In the men’s doubles 35+ final, the pair of Aditya Kapoor and Manish Mehrotra secured a 6–3 victory over Ashwin and Ruchit to lift the trophy.

Manish Mehrotra added another title to his tally by winning the men’s doubles 45+ category. Partnering with Aditeshwar, he defeated the duo of Dr. Apoorv and Nishant 6–3 in the final.

In the 45+ singles category, Dr. Srivatsan emerged champion with a 6–4 win over Manish Singh.

Among players aged 55 and above, Dr. Bharat Dubey clinched the singles trophy after defeating Laxman Singh 6–1. In the 55+ doubles final, the team of Alok Bhatnagar and Dr. Vishwas emerged victorious with a 6–3 win over Dr. Bharat Dubey and Sanjay Kumar.

During the closing ceremony, chief guest Sunil Bhatnagar presented the awards. Saurabh Chaturvedi, Deepak Pathak and Pawan Sagar were also present on the occasion.
