Lucknow: Shalimar Group organised a series of health awareness programmes across five different locations for its employees and associates, focusing on critical health issues such as cancer, heart disease, and neurological disorders. The initiative, conducted in collaboration with a leading private hospital, witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of people.
The primary objective of the programmes was to equip employees and participants with accurate information on the early detection, prevention, and timely treatment of life-threatening diseases. Medical experts from the partner hospital addressed the sessions, sharing insights on lifestyle-related risks, early warning signs, and the importance of consulting specialists at the right time.

A key highlight of the awareness drive was the “Aao Dekho Seekho” Breast Cancer Awareness Programme, specially organised for women employees. The session saw strong participation and focused on explaining early symptoms of breast cancer, the correct method of self-examination, and the critical role of timely screening and treatment. The information was presented in a simple, practical, and interactive manner to encourage awareness without fear or hesitation.
Speaking on the initiative, Mohammad Abdullah Masood, Director, Shalimar Group, said, “For us, employee health is not just a benefit but a top priority. Through these programmes, our aim was to replace fear with correct knowledge and awareness about serious illnesses. We are encouraged by the positive response these sessions have received.”

In addition to the women-centric programme, health talks were organised at various locations covering cancer, cardiac health, and neurological well-being. Senior doctors elaborated on common symptoms, treatment options, and preventive measures, while also emphasising healthy lifestyle choices, stress management, and regular health check-ups.
As part of the health awareness series, the corporate office of Shalimar Group hosted the women’s breast cancer awareness session, focusing on early detection, self-examination, and timely diagnosis. A cancer awareness session at One World discussed common symptoms and available treatment options. At Hometel Alambagh, a dedicated cardiac health session highlighted the importance of lifestyle modification, stress control, and routine medical check-ups. Meanwhile, neurological health talks at Mannat and Garden Bay provided detailed information on brain and nerve-related disorders, their early signs, and the importance of prompt medical intervention.
Through this multi-location initiative, Shalimar Group reaffirmed its commitment to employee well-being and preventive healthcare, underlining the importance of awareness as the first step towards a healthier society.
