Mumbai: India’s beloved superhero Shaktimaan has made a thrilling comeback on the audio platform Pocket FM. The 40-episode audio series, ‘Shaktimaan Returns’, features Mukesh Khanna reprising the iconic role in his own voice, adding a nostalgic yet fresh touch for longtime fans. The series presents an environment-focused thriller, blending cherished memories with a new, socially relevant message.
In this edition, Shaktimaan’s battle is not against a demon, but against human greed and the exploitation of nature. His adversary, Mahatatva, seeks to restore Earth’s balance at any cost. Shaktimaan must locate five mystical ‘Mani’ stones, each teaching him that true power lies in compassion, not destruction.

Spanning nearly 10 hours of cinematic audio storytelling, the series also brings back beloved characters such as Gangadhar Shastri, Geeta Vishwas, Mahatma, and TRP Baba. To celebrate the launch, Pocket FM released a fun promotional film, “Distressed Villains,” featuring iconic 90s-era antagonists like Gulshan Grover, Ranjeet, and Surendra Pal, evoking a wave of nostalgia among audiences.

‘Shaktimaan Returns’ is more than a trip down memory lane; it underscores that Indian heroes remain as inspiring today as ever, proving that values like courage, compassion, and justice continue to resonate across generations.
