Lucknow— In a landmark step towards digital healthcare, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow, inaugurated the E-Charting System in the Neuro Surgery Operation Theatre on the occasion of World Anaesthesia Day.
The launch marks a major digital transformation in anaesthesia services, enabling accurate, real-time and paperless documentation of patient data during surgery.
The programme was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Prabhat Tiwari, Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Devendra Gupta, Chief Medical Superintendent, as the Special Guest. The system was officially launched by the Department of Anaesthesia, the Medical Superintendent, the Neuroanaesthesia team, and the Cerebra.AI team led by Dr. Ruchi Verma and Dr. Sumit Sachan.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Medical Superintendent highlighted that the digitisation of anaesthesia charting will enhance patient safety, streamline documentation, enable data analysis, and support clinical decision-making. The E-Charting System will record monitoring parameters, drug administration, and intraoperative events with precision.

Under the initiative “Transforming Anaesthesia Records into Digital Platforms,” SGPGIMS has positioned itself as a pioneer in modern digital healthcare.
