Lucknow — Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) has taken a significant step toward digital transformation with the launch of a dedicated payroll software and mobile application for staff, aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency, and convenience in salary management.
The system was inaugurated by Padma Shri Prof. R.K. Dhiman, Director SGPGI, in the presence of senior officials, faculty members, and administrative staff. The platform is accessible through both a web portal and a mobile app, converting payroll management from a manual process into a fast, on-demand service.

Through this digital system, employees can instantly access important financial documents such as monthly payslips, detailed salary statements, annual income reports, GPF (General Provident Fund) details, and Form 16 for income tax purposes.
Speaking at the launch, Prof. Dhiman emphasized the importance of this initiative in streamlining administrative processes and fostering transparency within the institution.

The launch event was attended by Finance Officer Shashi Bhushan Singh Tomar, CMS Dr. Devendra Gupta, ER Colonel Varun Vajpayee, Joint Dean-Director Administration Lt. Col. Jaydeep Singh Ghuman, Joint Director of Materials Management Prakash Singh, and other senior officials.
The software and mobile application were designed and developed by Mectoi Technologies, Lucknow, under the supervision of UPDESCo, ensuring a user-friendly and secure digital platform for all employees.
This digital initiative marks SGPGI’s first major step into modernized administrative solutions, reflecting the institute’s commitment to innovation and efficiency in its operations.
