Lucknow: The Sushant Golf City police arrested seven individuals on Wednesday in separate incidents for disrupting public peace and order in different areas under the Southern Zone of Lucknow.
Incident 1:
During routine vehicle and suspicious activity checks at the Jalsa Tiraaha, Sub-Inspector Sandeep Kumar Sharma and his team stopped a two-wheeler (Reg. No. UP-41 AV 2322) coming from the Gosainganj side. The three riders—Ranjit (22), Sandeep (20), and Rohit (18), all residents of Thakurpur village in Barabanki district—were riding without helmets. When stopped for questioning, the trio began resisting the police and instigated a scene in front of the public. Despite repeated warnings, they continued to be aggressive. To maintain peace and prevent any cognizable offense, all three were arrested under Sections 170/126/135 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Incident 2:
In a separate incident near the Khurdahi Bazaar vegetable market, Sub-Inspector Suraj Singh received information about an individual creating nuisance. The accused, identified as Kandheylal (45), a resident of Madharamau Kala, was found misbehaving with passersby and local residents. When asked to calm down, he became increasingly violent. He was taken into custody under the same sections of the BNS for disturbing peace.
Incident 3:
While verifying records of past offenders as per orders from senior officials, Sub-Inspector Sandeep Kumar Sharma approached Sumit Rawat (22), resident of Madharamau Ka Purwa. Upon being informed of the verification process, Sumit began shouting and acting aggressively. His behavior escalated despite several attempts to pacify him, leading to his arrest for attempting to disturb public peace.
Incident 4:
At the Plassio Mall’s Sky Glass Bar, a violent altercation broke out between two individuals. Acting on a tip-off, Lady Sub-Inspector Neha Singh and her team arrived at the scene. The accused—Santosh Tiwari (32) of Durgapuri Colony and Mohd. Salman (25) of Kurmanchal Nagar—were found to be fighting in public and resisted police intervention. Both were arrested and charged under Sections 170/126/135 BNS.
