Lucknow: The Additional General Manager (AGM) of North Eastern Railway, Vinod Kumar Shukla, conducted an extensive inspection of Lucknow Junction and Gomtinagar Railway Stations. He was accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Gaurav Agarwal, Additional DRM (Infrastructure) Bhuvnesh Singh, Additional DRM (Operations) Neetu, senior divisional officers, and Chief Project Manager of the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), Pawas Yadav.
During the inspection at Lucknow Junction, the AGM reviewed ongoing development works under the passenger amenities initiative. He visited the station portico, circulating area, concourse area, second-class and upper-class waiting halls, TTE lobby, and cabway on platform number 6. The team also examined the progress of infrastructural upgrades aimed at improving passenger convenience.

Following the inspection, Chief Project Manager Pawas Yadav gave a PowerPoint presentation detailing the integrated redevelopment plans of both Lucknow Junction and Lucknow (Northern Railway) stations. The presentation highlighted upcoming facilities and modernization efforts being implemented under the RLDA’s supervision.
In the next phase, the AGM reached Gomtinagar Railway Station, where he reviewed the first-entry flyover, air concourse, and the second-entry circulating area and parking facilities, along with the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the premises. He also assessed the layout plan and the ongoing construction of the retail and commercial blocks, which form a part of the station’s infrastructure development plan. RLDA’s Chief Project Manager briefed him on the status of these projects.

Concluding the visit, AGM Shukla instructed the officials to enhance passenger amenities at both stations, keeping in view future traffic demands and public convenience.
Among those present during the inspection were Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination), Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Senior Divisional Signal and Telecom Engineer, Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (TRD), Senior Divisional Safety Officer, Public Relations Officer, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer (ENHM), Senior City Engineer, Station Directors, and other railway staff.
