Seminar organized marking International Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Seminar organized under the joint aegis of Max Super Specialty Hospital, Khushi Foundation, Pharmacist Federation

Lucknow: Under the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a seminar was organized at Max Hospital on  under the joint aegis of Khushi Foundation, Pharmacist Federation and Max Hospital. Chief guest of the seminar, Vice President of State Women Commission Aparna Yadav said that there is a need for social awareness towards breast cancer. No cancer patient should be left alone. They should also be provided emotional and social support. Arvind Sharma of Uttar Pradesh Ayush Mission was present as a special guest.

On this occasion, Dr. Sunil Yadav from Pharmacist Federation said that early identification of breast cancer is necessary and our aim should be to reduce the mortality rate due to it. For this, a public campaign will also be run in rural areas. During the program, Richa Dwivedi from Khushi Foundation explained in detail about the ways to boost the morale of breast cancer patients. He said that in today’s daily routine, there is a need for systematic improvement in breast health promotion, early identification, timely diagnosis and treatment and Khushi Foundation is committed to spreading more and more awareness among women by organizing such seminars at regular intervals. With increasing awareness and advances in treatment, many women are living long and healthy lives after diagnosis.

In the seminar, Dr. Vineeta Dwivedi said breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women worldwide. There has been a significant improvement in the survival rate in the last few decades, but this battle is still not over. The reality is that detecting it in time is the most important to save lives, which is why raising awareness is very important. She also told the measures to prevent breast cancer.

Neelam Pandey and Jaya Tiwari from Khushi Foundation felicitated the chief guest and encouraged the program. Sumona S. Pandey from Akashvani Lucknow was also present during the program.

Dr. Alok Gupta and Dr. Farah from Max Hospital explained in detail about the subject of breast cancer. Apart from this, Dr. Awadhesh Dwivedi told about breast cancer awareness and prevention measures. In this program, Dr. Varija Seth, Dr. Sumit Seth, Dr. Sandeep Shukla, Dr. Shivji Kushwaha also expressed their views. Breast cancer awareness quiz was also organized during the program.

During this, Ruchir Shukla from Max Hospital said that to keep people fit in today’s hectic life, more such seminars will be organized by Max Hospital and Khushi Foundation. He further said that since this seminar has been organized in Lucknow right now, but in future it will be organized in other cities of the state as well. During the seminar, Pihu Dwivedi, Gargi Dwivedi and Adishree Singh attracted everyone’s attention with their captivating dance.

Archana Sharma, Bhavana Bhatt, Meena Singh, Aasma Bano, Anamika Shukla and Dr. Arvind Pandey from Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow were also present.
