Lucknow: A one-day seminar on the topic “Use of Sanskrit in Various Scientific and Technological Fields” was organized under the joint aegis of Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Government Women’s College, Aliganj. The event was coordinated by Dr. Uma Singh, Assistant Professor in the Sanskrit Department of the college.
The seminar featured esteemed speakers, including Dr. Satyaketu and Dr. Ashok Kumar Shatapathi, both faculty members from the Sanskrit Department of Lucknow University. In his message, Director of the Sanskrit Sansthan, Vinay Srivastava, encouraged students to connect with the Sanskrit language and explore its applications.
Welcoming the guests, Principal Professor Rashmi Bishnoi highlighted that Sanskrit is considered the most suitable language for computers. Dr. Ashok Kumar Shatapathi emphasized that Sanskrit is the mother of all languages and urged students to make dedicated efforts for its promotion. He also pointed out that knowledge of Sanskrit is essential for understanding chemistry.
Dr. Satyaketu described Sanskrit as a living language and a source of immense power. He explained that words are derived from the element of space and elaborated on Sanskrit grammar.
On this occasion, Dr. Rajiv Yadav and Dr. Bhaskar Sharma were specially honored by the institution for their contributions. Social worker and institution associate Anurag Sahu was also present at the event.
Additionally, the Sanskrit Sansthan provided training to nearly 200 students of the college in Sanskrit language and honored them during the event.
