Lucknow: A thought-provoking seminar titled ‘From Self-Realisation to Universal Consciousness’ was successfully organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, Mahanagar, Lucknow. Held under the presidency of Nirbhay Narayan Gupta and moderated by Dr. Mamta Pankaj, the seminar saw eminent speakers delve into the philosophical, cultural, and contemporary relevance of self-awareness as a path to global harmony.
Participants explored a wide range of issues—from cultural values, conduct, and thought traditions to pressing social topics like ‘Love Jihad’—linking them to the broader idea of collective consciousness through individual realisation.
Prominent speakers included Praveen Kumar Srivastava, Prem, Payal Lakshmi Soni, Dr. Alka Asthana ‘Amritmayi’, Jyoti Kiran Ratan, Shailendra Pratap Awasthi, Ashish Pandey, Madhuri Mahakash, Dinesh Singh, Mrigank Srivastava, Mahendra Bhishm, Jyotsna Tripathi, Aryavarti Saroj Arya, Gopal Narayan Srivastava, Santosh Kumar Kaushal, Sanjeev Srivastava, and Manas Mukul Tripathi.
The discussion opened with reflections on morality and values, focusing on how these are shaped by self-awareness. Speakers examined how Goswami Tulsidas’s Ramcharitmanas, through the characters of Rama and Ravana, can inspire the dissemination of self-realisation globally, thereby nurturing a spirit of universal brotherhood.

The seminar also explored the teachings of great spiritual thinkers such as Adi Shankaracharya, Swami Vivekananda, and Gautam Buddha, emphasising how their introspective journeys and philosophies of self-awareness continue to guide humanity toward a more inclusive and conscious world.
The event concluded with a resolve to promote the ideals of self-knowledge, cultural awareness, and universal compassion through continued dialogue and literature.
