Seminar on Nine Years of Development Highlights Governance and Growth at Rohilkhand University

Bareilly: A seminar marking nine years of developmental progress of the state government was organized at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, focusing on governance, infrastructure, and inclusive growth as key pillars of progress.

The programme was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. P. Singh and attended by Controller of Examinations Sanjeev Kumar Singh. The chief guest for the event was Sanjeev Agarwal. The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting and invocation.

Focus on Governance and Development

Presenting an overview of the government’s achievements, Sanjeev Kumar Singh highlighted progress in law and order, education, examination systems, and industrial development, noting that a supportive environment has accelerated growth across sectors.

Chief guest Sanjeev Agarwal stated that the state has achieved significant milestones over the past nine years, with several welfare schemes and development projects benefiting the public and strengthening infrastructure.

Vice-Chancellor Emphasizes Inclusive Growth

In his presidential address, Prof. K. P. Singh underscored that good governance, robust infrastructure, and holistic development form the foundation of the state’s progress. He noted that various departments have earned national recognition for their performance and that awareness of government initiatives is being actively spread among students, faculty, and the general public.

He further emphasized that numerous welfare schemes aimed at youth, women, farmers, and marginalized communities are contributing to economic empowerment and social upliftment. Initiatives in sectors such as tourism, culture, employment generation, and entrepreneurship were also highlighted.

Development Across Sectors

Speakers at the seminar pointed out improvements in infrastructure, including expressways, connectivity, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions. Growth in investment, expansion of industries, and increasing employment opportunities were also discussed as major achievements.

The seminar also highlighted initiatives such as startup promotion, financial assistance schemes, healthcare coverage, pension programmes, and support for farmers. Emphasis was placed on skill development, emerging technologies, and training programmes to prepare youth for future opportunities.

Broad Participation

The event witnessed participation from senior faculty members, including Prof. Ravindra Singh, Prof. Alok Srivastava, Prof. Sanjay Mishra, Prof. J. N. Maurya, Prof. P. B. Singh, Prof. Tulika Saxena, and several others. Administrative officials, students, media representatives, and experts from various fields were also present.

The seminar concluded with a call to students and young participants to actively contribute to nation-building by aligning themselves with evolving development goals and opportunities.

The event served as a platform to reflect on the state’s developmental journey while encouraging youth to play a proactive role in shaping the future.
