Seminar on Diabetes in End-Stage Heart and Cancer Patients Held in Lucknow

Lucknow: A state-level medical seminar focusing on diabetes in patients with end-stage heart disease and cancer was organized in Lucknow under the IMA State Level Refresher Course. The symposium covered 17 medical subjects, with special emphasis on diabetes management in terminal illness. Nearly 80 to 100 doctors participated in the event.

The seminar was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. N.B. Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Lucknow, and Special Guest Dr. Brijendra Shukla, Vice President, Zone 3, IMA UP State. Welcoming the guests, Dr. Sarita Singh, President, IMA Lucknow, highlighted the importance of such knowledge-sharing platforms.

Scientific Committee Chair Dr. J.D. Rawat, along with former president Dr. Vinita Mittal and president-elect Dr. Manoj Kumar Asthana, praised the initiative, stating that such refresher programs help doctors update their knowledge and skills. They emphasized the need for regular scientific dialogues to ensure better patient outcomes.

IMA Secretary Dr. Sanjay Saxena stressed the importance of working collectively toward a “Clean and Healthy Lucknow,” while thanking the organizing committee for their efforts.

The seminar witnessed the participation of several prominent city doctors including Dr. Shashwat Vidyadhar, Dr. R.B. Singh, Dr. Anil Kumar Tripathi, Dr. Gurmeet Singh, Dr. Alok Maheshwari, Dr. Rama Srivastava, and Dr. Sumit Seth. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sanjay Saxena, Secretary, IMA Lucknow, marking the event as a successful step in advancing medical awareness and strengthening collaborative healthcare practices.
