Lucknow: On the second day of the 20th National Seminar on the effect of yoga and naturopathy on muscles, organized jointly by the Yoga Department of Lucknow University, Faculty of Yoga and Alternative Medicine, Indian Yoga Federation and U.P. Naturopathy and Yoga Teachers and Physician Association at Vishwakarma Auditorium in the second campus of the university, Viturv Tripathi from Banaras Hindu University said that by living under stress, the percentage of anger-inducing hormones increases in the body.
This increases the tension of the muscles of the body. And the possibility of muscles getting sick increases. Stress is reduced by practicing Vrikshasana, Marjari Asana, Halasana and meditation. Yoga expert Amit Gauraiya from Annamalai University said that old age first starts from the feet.
And the muscles of the feet start getting weak. Due to the slow pace of the aging process, one should practice Uttanapada Asana, Ardha Halasana, Tadasana and Anulom Vilom Bhuchari Mudra in Pranayama. Kshikshant Bhatt of Maharishi University of Infotainment of Technology told in his research paper that to keep the neck muscles healthy, neck development activities, shoulder rotation activities, Hastottanasana, Hasta Padasana and Ujjayi Pranayama should be practiced.
While presenting his research paper, Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi told that steam bath, waist bath and morning sun rays help in keeping the muscles of the body healthy.
Yogacharya K.K. Shukla said that muscles give shape to the body. To keep the muscles of hands and feet healthy, one should practice shoulder movement activities, elbow strength development activities, Bhujbali strength development activities, knee movement and Bhastrika Pranayama.
In the morning session, the students of Yoga department presented their research papers. Faculty Coordinator Dr. Amarjeet Yadav said that eight scientific sessions were organized in the seminar in which special sessions were organized on the effect of asanas on neck muscles, muscle physiology, muscle diseases, heart muscles. Certificates were distributed to the participants during the closing session.
Dean of the Faculty Professor Ashok Kumar Sonkar expressed his gratitude. On this occasion, faculty teachers Dr. Umesh Kumar Shukla, Dr. Satyendra Kumar Mishra, Dr. Ram Kishore, Dr. Ram Naresh, Priyanka Rai, Doctor, and students of the faculty were present in large numbers.
