Lucknow: On the occasion of National Space Day on August 23, the Regional Science City in Lucknow hosted a series of educational programs to celebrate India’s achievements in space exploration. The event featured the inauguration of an exhibition titled “From Ancient Skies to Modern Horizons,” which was unveiled by the Chief Guest, Asif Siddiqui, General Manager of ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network. In his address, Siddiqui recalled the historic moments of the Chandrayaan-3 mission.
The program began with a welcome speech by Swaroop Mandal, Project Coordinator at the Regional Science City. An exciting quiz competition on space science was also organized for students from various schools in Lucknow, who participated with great enthusiasm. During the event, a special mention was made of astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, who has brought fame to Lucknow through his contributions to the field of science.
At the conclusion of the program, prizes were distributed to the winners of the quiz competition. The Regional Science City is committed to continually fostering curiosity and a scientific temper among students, and the event celebrated India’s significant space achievements, from Aryabhata to Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan.


The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks from Ram Kumar, Education Officer at the Regional Science City, Lucknow. He expressed his gratitude to all the dignitaries, participating organizations, media representatives, and attendees for their cooperation. He reiterated the center’s commitment to promoting science education through exhibitions and outreach programs and extended an invitation to schools and families to visit the Regional Science City.
