‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ and Enrollment Festival organized in Bareilly to Boost Student Admissions

Bareilly: The School Chalo Abhiyan and Enrollment Festival were organized with enthusiasm in Bareilly, aligning with the statewide initiative launched by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath from Varanasi.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the campaign from a composite school in Shivpur, Varanasi, with the live telecast streamed across districts, including Bareilly. In Bareilly, the main event was held at an auditorium in Urban Haat, where public representatives and officials gathered to watch and listen to the Chief Minister’s address.

The programmme commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by a Saraswati Vandana. School students presented a welcome song to greet the dignitaries, setting a vibrant tone for the event.

On the occasion, public representatives distributed books to students, encouraging enrollment and continued education. Winners of a state-level Taekwondo competition were also felicitated with medals. A student, Harshit from a Harugla school, was specially honored for his innovative science project.

To further promote the campaign, an LED awareness van and a rally were flagged off by the dignitaries, aiming to spread awareness about school enrollment and education for all.

The event was attended by prominent leaders, including Forest and Environment Minister Arun Kumar, Bareilly MP Chhatrapal Singh, MLC Kunwar Maharaj Singh, District Panchayat Chairperson Rashmi Patel, Mayor Dr. Umesh Gautam, and Nawabganj MLA M. P. Arya.

Senior administrative officials present included District Magistrate Avinash Singh, Chief Development Officer Devyani, Additional District Magistrate (City) Saurabh Dubey, District Inspector of Schools Ajit, and Basic Education Officer Dr. Vinita.

The initiative reflects the government’s continued efforts to strengthen primary education and ensure maximum enrollment of children in schools across the state.
