Lucknow: Challa Srinivasulu Setty, on his first visit to Lucknow Circle as Chairman of State Bank of India, presented a cheque of Rs. 2.00 crore to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, for the upgradation of 40 primary schools in the state under Corporate Social Responsibility.
The Chief Minister appreciated SBI’s CSR initiatives, highlighting the bank’s efforts in expanding quality education in Uttar Pradesh and supporting State Priorities. He commended SBI’s commitment to contributing to the state’s development and enhancing educational infrastructure. Also, being the largest bank, SBI is expected to increase their participation in state-sponsored projects. Speaking on the occasion, Setty said, “This is our contribution towards strengthening primary education in Uttar Pradesh. This contribution will help in creating better, clean and educational environment to the children of rural areas, which will lead them towards a bright future.”

State Bank of India is constantly setting new dimensions by fulfilling its social responsibility in the field of education. This collaboration is a meaningful initiative towards strengthening the education infrastructure of the State. Setty also inaugurated 27 new branches across Uttar Pradesh to provide easier access to the banking services for customers especially in rural and underserved areas and Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Lucknow Circle, Dipak Kumar De was also present on the occasion.
